The U.S. Treasury’s Financial Crime Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a part of the U.S. Department of Treasury, is collecting beneficial ownership information (BOI). Our office is not collecting this information and will not have access to the information reported to FinCEN. You should contact FinCEN if you have additional questions or concerns about who will have access.

On March 26, 2025, FinCEN published federal rules limiting which types of businesses must file a BOI Report with FinCEN.

• Go to the FinCEN Beneficial Ownership Information Report page for more information and, if required, to submit your electronic report by applicable deadlines.
• Updates or corrections to FinCEN BOI reports must be submitted within the deadline(s) set by FinCEN.
• Please contact FinCEN directly or seek legal guidance for your questions.
• Do not submit your FinCEN BOI report to the Colorado Secretary of State’s office.
